Beat Saber’s Monstercat Music Pack Vol. 1 now Available for £11

The day has finally arrived where Beat Saber fans can now officially download and enjoy the first DLC pack from Beat Games, Monstercat Music Pack Vol. 1, available to purchase via Steam and PlayStation Store of Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR respectively.

As VRFocus has previously reported, the Monstercat Music Pack Vol. 1 features ten songs which Steam users can either purchase individually for £1.69 GBP each – for a total of £16.90 – or simply buy the entire bundle for £11 for a 35 percent saving. PlayStation VR users can pick up the entire pack for £9.99.

Both stores also have a secondary bundle for those that don’t currently own the main title. They’re able to purchase Beat Saber + Monstercat Music Pack Vol. 1 for £24.32 on Steam and £32.99 on PlayStation Store. Oculus Rift users on Oculus Store will have to wait a little while longer, with Beat Games stating on Twitter: “Dear Oculus players, we have this update ready for you and it’s gonna be released in Oculus Store as soon as possible!”

There have been reports that the in-game button for buying the DLC isn’t working for PC players which the team is working on: “somehow the button is not working now, we will fix it. You can buy pack on Steam directly in the meantime.”

Beat Saber POP/Stars

As a little bonus for PC users, their version now matches up with the PlayStation VR version, with the long-awaited  Campaign and all 5 tracks from OST Vol. 2 now available.

In addition to the new DLC, Beat Games and Monstercat are running a special promotion. Monstercat is offering a free month of its Gold Pass to new subscribers who use the promo code “BEATSABER.”

Even though this is going to please a lot of Beat Saber players, many – especially those on PlayStation VR – might have been after a little bit more variety in the types of songs available. Well it seems as though the studio is planning on doing just that with the next packs, responding to a Twitter user asking them to branch out: “Don’t worry, we have it covered with the genres of the next packs. ;)”

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Beat Saber, reporting back with further updates.
