Super Bowl LII will feature a number of movie spots, one of which could be a trailer for Cloverfield 3.
Deadline has heard Netflix—who’s reportedly in talks with Paramount to acquire the rights to the film—will potentially make news of the deal official by debuting a trailer for the third Cloverfield movie during the Super Bowl.
The outlet also reports Universal will air a trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, as well as one for the upcoming Dwayne Johnson-led action film Skyscraper. Additionally, Paramount is set to air spots for Mission: Impossible – Fallout and the John Krasinski-directed thriller A Quiet Place. One will debut during the pre-game and the other will air during the last half hour of the game.
Additionally, Deadline has heard Disney will run a 30-second and a 45-second spot, which could presumably be for reserved for Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. That said, Disney also has Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Incredibles 2, and A Wrinkle in Time coming later this year, so it’s possible any of these films may get one of the two spots.
Meanwhile, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., and Sony are all said to be sitting out during Super Bowl LII. While you patiently wait for this year’s big game, which takes place on February 4, check out all of the movie spots from Super Bowl LI.
