Aquaman has received some of the most favorable reviews among the DC cinematic universe movies that have been released since Man of Steel kicked off the whole thing back in 2013.
The James Wan-directed film is, as of the movie’s opening day, sitting at 68% at critical aggregator Rotten Tomatoes based off of 194 reviews. While Aquaman failed to become certified “fresh”, its Tomatometer rating is nevertheless markedly higher than many other entries in the current DC movie universe.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, “movies and TV shows are Certified Fresh with a steady Tomatometer of 75% or higher after a set amount of reviews (80 for wide-release movies, 40 for limited-release movies, 20 for TV shows), including 5 reviews from Top Critics.”
