The annual Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales event officially starts next week but as is becoming more and more commonplace the sales tend to start much earlier. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has just announced its PlayStation deals for the North American market, offering some tasty virtual reality (VR) savings.
Unlike PlayStation VR’s third anniversary sale which focused purely on the software, for Black Friday it’s mostly about the hardware.
For instance, there’s the PlayStation VR Multi-game Bundle. Normally retailing for $ 299.99 USD/$ 379.99 CAD, the offer reduces this price to $ 199.99/$ 249.99 CAD. In the bundle, you get the headset, a PlayStation Camera and vouchers to download five PlayStation VR titles: Astro Bot Rescue Mission, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Everybody’s Golf VR, and PlayStation VR Worlds.
Or there’s the PlayStation VR Blood & Truth + Everybody’s Golf Bundle which will be retailing for $ 249.99/$ 319.99 CAD instead of $ 349.99/$ 449.99 CAD. Not only do you get one of PlayStation VR’s best shooters, but the bundle also comes supplied with two PlayStation Move controllers.
As for the videogames, currently, the only one mentioned with VR support is Concrete Genie while non-VR titles like Days Gone, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition, MediEvil, and MLB The Show 19 have been mentioned.
There are also deals on the console and accessories. A PlayStation 4 1TB system with The Last of Us: Remastered, God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition will set you back $ 199.99/$ 249.99 CAD. A PlayStation 4 Pro has been reduced to $ 299.99/$ 369.99 CAD, down from $ 399.99/$ 499.99 CAD.
For those after improved audio then the PlayStation Gold Headset is on offer for $ 69.99/$ 89.99 CAD in all available colours, instead of $ 99.99/$ 119.99 CAD (MSRP). Or pick up a DualShock 4 wireless controller for $ 39.99/$ 49.99 CAD.
All these deals run from 24th November 24 to 2nd December 2 (28th November to 6th December in Canada). At the moment SIE hasn’t released details about a possible European sale during Black Friday. If it does then VRFocus will let you know as soon as possible.
