Pixvana’s cloud-based virtual reality (VR) platform SPIN Studio allows immersive content creators to build interactive story experiences from within a headset. This week, the company has announced an additional tool for the platform, SPIN Guide.
SPIN Guide provides companies with a suite of presentation management tools as well as real-time analytics, helping guide audiences whilst tracking engagement and content comprehension. The new feature is ideal for VR uses cases where several guests may be taking a tour for example, with SPIN Guide one person can control what an entire audience is seeing from one main screen.
Alongside providing fully guided VR experiences, to ensure everyone has the same unified experience whoever is controlling the platform has the ability to talk to them throughout the journey; play, pause, and seek the video; adjust volume; and more.
“At Pixvana, we are dedicated to bringing new and powerful VR-native technology to market to help fuel the growth of the entire ecosystem,” said Beverly Vessella, VP of Product for Pixvana in a statement. “SPIN Guide is a trailblazing VR functionality that makes it effortless to lead entire groups of viewers on life changing adventures — guiding them, watching them respond, learning from them, and improving their experience along the way. This is a game changer for everything from corporate trainings to sales enablement and marketing presentations.”
SPIN Guide can create heat maps of where users are looking, how they navigate the content, and how well they understand the content they consume, to provide valuable data for companies.
Cloud infrastructure and digital workspace technology company VMware has already begun using SPIN Studio. “VR has proven to be a powerful sales training tool for creating lasting impressions and increasing product recall and retention,” said Mimi Spier, Vice President of IoT at VMware. “Pixvana’s new SPIN Guide provides us with a whole new level of control, guidance, and insight into how effectively we are training our sales team. Now, we can better understand how our training material are being received and retained, plus we can use real-time analytics to optimize the experience on the fly.”
SPIN Guide is available for download in SPIN Studio. For further updates, keep reading VRFocus.
