We only know that the Essential Phone actually exists, but no one can buy one yet. Even though Andy Rubin promised its smartphone will be launched on the market one or two weeks after being officially unveiled, it looks like the Essential Phone has a two months delay.
A couple of days ago, Essential’s officials confirmed their smartphone is already in full mass-production and that they plan to announce when it will go on sale next week.
We now have information that suggests Essential will be hosting a “First Look” event where people will be able to see and try the Essential Phone for themselves. The event will take place in Los Angeles, United States, on August 25.
For time being, it’s unclear who’s going to attend the event, as the media did not seem to have received invitations, which means this is probably a consumers-only type of gathering. In any case, it’s more important to learn when exactly the Essential Phone will hit the shelves, though being able to test it before that is nice as well.
